2. BlueStone reported a profitable first quarter of FY27, posting a net profit of ₹5.9 crore as revenue surged 50% year-on-year to ₹736.8 crore. 2. Zappfresh’s parent company, DSM Fresh Foods, reported a 58% YoY increase in Q1 FY27 revenue to ₹74 crore. Backed by retail expansion, omnichannel growth, and the Meevaa Foods acquisition, the company is scaling its farm-to-fork platform while reaffirming its FY28 revenue target of ₹600 crore.

2. Aina has raised $5.5 million in a seed round co-led by Redstart Labs and 360 ONE Asset to bring its AI-native hardware interface to market. 3. Skin longevity beauty brand LNGVTY has raised ₹5 crore in a seed funding round led by Rukam Capital. The Mumbai-based D2C skincare brand will use the capital to strengthen customer acquisition, expand its product portfolio, invest in R&D, and grow its founding team as it taps into the rising demand for science-backed, long-term skin health solutions.
Varun Alagh, Co-founder & CEO, Honasa Consumer Ltd.
Many founders believe leadership is about having the right answers.
Varun Alagh believes it’s about asking the right questions.
He draws an interesting parallel with therapy. A therapist could tell you what’s wrong and how to fix it in the very first session. But that solution rarely sticks because it wasn’t your answer.
The same principle applies to building teams.
Early in his journey, Varun believed his role as a founder was to walk into a room with conviction and tell people exactly what to do. But over the years, while building Honasa, he realized something far more powerful.
People don’t commit to the plan they’re given. They commit to the plan they create themselves.
The moment someone articulates their own goal and their own path to achieving it, it becomes part of their belief system. That’s when ownership begins.
Today, Varun sees leadership differently.
His job isn’t to have every answer ready.
It’s to ask the questions that help others discover the answer themselves.
The best leaders don’t build followers.
They build thinkers who take ownership.
